I’m So Happy You’re Here
I've spent the last 20+ years working in early childhood education, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's this: children don't need us to rush them. They need us to truly understand them.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work in classrooms, support educators, develop curriculum, lead professional development, and connect with thousands of teachers and families around the world. Along the way, I've become deeply passionate about translating child development and research into practical, everyday ideas that actually make sense in real life.
You'll probably notice I talk a lot about play, relationships, movement, loose parts, outdoor experiences, and slowing childhood down. That's because these aren't simply educational philosophies—they're the foundation of healthy development, and they're often the very experiences children are losing.
Whether you're here for consulting, professional development, classroom inspiration, or simply reassurance that play really is enough, I hope you leave feeling informed, encouraged, and excited about what's possible.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me with a cup of coffee in hand, hiking a trail, listening to music, strength training, writing children's books, or spending time outdoors with my daughter. I love slowing down (whenever possible), asking questions, and finding wonder in the little things. Thanks for being here.
