1. Co-Regulation, Connection & Cooperation
Dependence → Supported regulationIn this session, we break down:
- How regulation develops in early childhood (and why children rely on us first)
- Why is connection the foundation for cooperation
- How to support regulation in real time so children can begin to internalize it
2. Resilience & Frustration Tolerance (June 24th)
Supported regulation → Internal coping
In this session, we focus on:
The difference between overwhelm vs. productive frustration
When to step in—and when to hold back
How children build the ability to cope, persist, and recover from challenge
3. Risk & Responsibility (July 29th)
Internal coping → Independent decision-making
In this session, we explore:
Why children need real opportunities to take risks and make choices
How boundaries create safety without removing growth
How responsibility develops through experience, not control
Certification of Professional Development is included with a 1.5-hour credit
