The Child’s Way Is Enough helps you step off the craft conveyor belt and make room for children to explore, decide, and create in their own way, just in time for Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. Grounded in Reggio Emilia, emergent curriculum, and Developmentally Appropriate Practice, it gives you the why, the how, and the words you need to bring everyone along.

Day 1: Stepping Off the Craft Conveyor Belt (Approximately 45 minutes)

Why cookie-cutter crafts miss what children need, and what child-led art really looks like.

Day 2: Making Room for the Child’s Way (Approximately 45 minutes)

Holiday process experiences for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners, plus swaps for the crafts you already do.

Day 3: Bringing Everyone Along (Approximately 45 minutes)

Word-for-word scripts for families, coworkers, and directors, plus a plan for the rest of the season.
